Introduction:

The International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases around the world. Call for research Grant:

This ISID research grant opportunity, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), aims to finance early career researchers from LMICs who live and operate in the field of public health. Each award candidate will get financial assistance during the grant period and be matched with a selected mentor from ISID’s extensive global network of infectious disease specialists. Recipients will get funding to attend an ISID event to present their results at the completion of the grant period.

Requirements:

  • Applications should be submitted online and should contain the following information:
  • A study proposal for a project involving human infectious illnesses that must include background information, research techniques, restrictions, and references (four pages maximum)
  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant (PDF of two pages maximum)
  • Reference letter from the institution or place of study of the candidate
  • Full suggested budget allocations in MS Excel format for the $7,500 USD award, along with a related timeframe

The recipients of research grants consent to periodically submitting written progress reports (on a template that will be provided). The International Journal of Infectious Diseases (ISID) urges those who receive these grants to discuss their findings at scientific conferences and to submit their work for publication in peer-reviewed publications, including but not limited to, this one (IJID).
