RSTMH 2023 Early Career Grants Programme

Introduction

Since 1907, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has worked to advance tropical medicine and global health. It is a membership-based organization that aims to promote and advance the study, control, and prevention of diseases in tropical countries. It was founded in 1907 and is based in the United Kingdom, with members and fellows from around the world.

The RSTMH’s mission is to improve health worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, through research, education, and advocacy. The society supports scientific research in tropical medicine and hygiene through grants, fellowships, and awards. It also organizes meetings, conferences, and other events to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas among experts in the field.

The RSTMH is also committed to promoting the translation of scientific research into policy and practice. It works with governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to develop evidence-based strategies for the prevention and control of tropical diseases.

Membership in the RSTMH is open to anyone with an interest in tropical medicine and hygiene, regardless of their profession or location. Members have access to a range of benefits, including networking opportunities, discounted registration for meetings and events, and online resources and publications.
